Valentino: The Last Emperor

October 22, 2008

Valentino: The Last Emperor, produced and directed by Matt Tyrnauer, Special Correspondent for Vanity Fair magazine, is an intimate and engaging fly-on-the-wall exploration of the singular world of one of Italy’s most famous men. The film documents the colorful and dramatic closing act of Valentino’s celebrated career, tells the story of his extraordinary life, and explores the larger themes affecting the fashion business today. At the heart of the film is the unique relationship between Valentino and his business partner and companion of 50 years, Giancarlo Giammetti.

In production from June 2005 to July 2007, the filmmakers shot over 250 hours of footage with exclusive, unprecedented access to Valentino and his entourage. “We were let in to the inner circle, but we had to stick it out for a long time, practically move in, to capture the truly great moments,” says Tyrnauer. “Valentino is surrounded by a tight-knit family of friends and employees, but, eventually, their guard came down and they forgot there was a camera crew in the room.”

“Valentino was one of the first designers to make himself the inspirational figure at the center of the story he was telling,” says Tyrnauer. “He is a born dreamer and the last true couturier, who let us in on his creative process and also let us in on the life he built around him to sustain this process,” adds Tyrnauer. “He lives as lavishly as his clients and set a standard for the industry. He shuts out all that is not beautiful, and we followed him around the world to capture that special world.”

Valentino: The Last Emperor is much more than a fashion movie. It is a portrait of an extraordinary partnership, the longest-running in fashion, and a dramatic story about a master confronting the final act of his celebrated career. It will be a film and fashion worldwide event marking the end of an era. Shot in widescreen high-definition, Valentino: The Last Emperor will premiere at film festivals beginning in August 2008, with gala premiere parties and special events planned around the world.

I really want to wach this movie. It is so difficult to have fashion movies. And this one seems to be very good. Valentino was amazing in everything he created, I’m sure this movie is amazing. By the way, everybody wants to be in a fashion designer backstage.

This interview below is very cool, you can understand more about the movie.

Ms Watson is grown up and very sexy.

October 15, 2008

vogue01The Italian Vogue photo shoot was a fascinating experience. I was very excited to work with Vogue for the first time, but also to be given the chance to model couture,” she explains. “Each dress was so special and important (because it is one of a kind), and we only had a short time to shoot each one before it had to go elsewhere to be worn or shot by someone else. This meant the shoot had a real momentum. And the jewellery to match each dress came with its own security guards.Emma Watson

Yeah! The little Hermione Granger, as she is known on Harry Potter, Grew up. And she is so classic on this editorial for Italian Vogue. She was wearing very sexual dresses, which make she more woman than a girl.

When we are outside of a photoshooting we may imagine that it is easy to do, what it’s not true. She explain, how difficult It is. “I was terrified of ripping, getting mud (as we shot outdoors), cake, a prop, or anything on the dresses!” she tells to Vogue UK. “I felt like I was learning a whole new set of rules to a new game – just like shooting a film. Mark encouraged me to become a different person or character for photograph and so they all tell difference stories. So, in the end, I combined two loves: art/fashion and acting.

The shoot was made by photographer Mark Seliger. Click on the photos below to see them on original size.

Louis Vuitton

March 3, 2008

The runway was spectacular. The soundtrack was amazing with the right beats. And the catwalk was normal and petty fancy too.

The clothes were very clean without too much prints on it, and It sounds very great and very fancy too, I don’t know why all the brands in the world need to put too much print on their clothes, I mean the clothe cut is petty more intense and creative than the prints. To tell the true, create a different cut is more difficult than create a different print.

The Louis Vuitton’s made really fine. Look to the skirt cuts of this season, they were crazy madly Great, the overcoats were spectacular, with different cuts, making some different volumes.

That’s what a call a real fancy collection.

PS: I’ve got bored covering the runways of my country so I stopped.

I’m saddened. How come Valentino.

WWD EXCLUSIVE: Valentino To Step Down
Published: Tuesday, September 04, 2007

Valentino is set to resign later today, WWD has learned. The designer will announce he will do one more ready to wear show and one more couture season, then step down. Valentino’s decision follows his three-day 45th anniversary celebrations in Rome in July.

The designer’s future at the company has been the subject of much speculation over the last year, especially following Permira’s acquisition of Valentino Fashion Group this past spring. Valentino and his business partner, Giancarlo Giammetti, have consistently stated over the last year that they would step down when they were ready, although as recently as July the designer was insisting he had no firm plans to do so.

Now I’m asking myself, how can it happen, I mean he is the greatest designer that I’ve seen.

I don’t know, I fear who is gonna substitute him.

At least we have two more collection by him. Lets enjoy it.

That was really provocative! You guys know what has happened about celebrities. Right?  If you don’t I give it to you.

A lot of ones have been going to Rehab and shaving hairs and going out without knickers.

But the Vogue Italy issue was so fuck ironic in July. They made a editorial that call Supermodels enter Rehab. On this editorial you can see all that stuffs I mentioned above.

Here are two pictures of it.

W Magazine

July 17, 2007

This issue of the W magazine has great editorials first Gisele’s one, that I already made a post, and second The Backhams: America Idols‘ one.

This editorial is on the cover of the magazine. This man is so fuck hot and she is too. The editorial is very sexy of both parts.

He’s  practically wearing pants, only and she is wearing very tight clothes. To me the most impressive picture is that she is on the hood taking her thigh.

The photographer was Steven Klein.

Dolce Gabbana fragrance the one’s launch

July 17, 2007

As most of the people know, Gisele Bündchen is the face of the Dolce Gabbana fragrance The One.

Yesterday on the 5th avenue in New York was The One launch. Of course, Gisele was presented, she was wearing a beautiful dress of Dolce Gabbana (of course).

You can see the comercial below.

She gave an little inteview in the even, you can check this out.

Still the one

Don’t feel sorry for Gisele Bündchen. She’s no longer the face (and body) of Victoria’s Secret, but she’s keeping plenty busy. Fresh off her turn as the first exit at Christian Dior’s 60th anniversary couture show, where she beat out supes like Naomi, Linda, Amber, and Shalom for the privilege, Bündchen made a special appearance at Saks Fifth Avenue today to promote Dolce & Gabbana’s latest fragrance, The One. She had time for just a few questions before greeting her many fans.

The press release for The One says it’s made for the “ultimate diva.” Are you a diva?
What do you think? No, really, when Domenico and Stefano called me about this project, they said they were looking for a strong, confident woman—someone who’s comfortable in her own skin and sexy, but not too sexy, because there’s a fine line. This woman, she’s more glamorous than me, but I felt flattered that they still think of me as “the one” after having worked together for ten years.

What do you think of the fragrance?
I really love it, but my sisters will be very upset if I get home without one for each of them. I’m going home now for my holiday and they’ll kick me out of the house if I don’t have them. laugh.gif

What’s the best place in Brazil for a holiday?
Brazil is an amazing country. For parties, I’d say go to Rio. São Paulo is like New York City, but bigger. If you want to eat, go there—it has great restaurants. If you want to chill, go to the north. The south, where I’m from, is not so touristy. When you go to Brazil, you feel at home, welcome. It’s not like going to England, where no one looks at you. I remember the first time I was there, I was like, they don’t like me. I was 16. No one wanted to give me a hug. In Brazil, everybody hugs everybody. It’s just a different culture.

How did it feel to open the Dior show?
I have never been so nervous in my entire life. I kept saying, “Can anyone help, can anyone go before me? I don’t want to be the first one.” John [Galliano] is another amazing designer. It was very exciting for me. I could barely breathe. The whole time I was walking—it was 150 meters—I was thinking, God help me, just help me get to the end of this. And then I made it and I had to watch the show for half an hour. All the girls were nervous; it wasn’t just me.

Speaking of comfort, or the lack thereof, how does that corset dress feel?
That’s the cool thing about Dolce & Gabbana. They can make you look sexy without pain. You know how they say, No pain, no gain? That’s not happening. Look, it’s latex. I can eat cake; I can eat whatever I want.

What’s your favorite Dolce & Gabbana piece?

I have a black bustier dress that’s very typical of Dolce & Gabbana. The back is completely open; it’s so sexy. From the front, it’s just this black tube, but from the back, it’s all open.

Valentino

July 9, 2007

The Fashion Show was in Rome in July 8. I think the right, it must be in Paris like the others haute couture shows.

But a lot of things are happening about Valentino’s retirement. Many rumours or reality, so we just have to wait for know the truth.

Lets to talk about the collection which was perfect. His collection is always classic, we can see to much suits with skirts, they are always creative and different. He is very good of doing overcoats, These ones of this collection are perfect.

In this collection he made different reliefs on the clothes which sound very great. The dresses have to much bright, laces, frills and necklines. In the dresses we can see too much furs.

Basically the colours was black, white and some others ones which are more shocking.

For me the highlight of the collections was the last picture below. I won’t say nothing, just check this out.

Jean Paul Gaultier

July 6, 2007

This collection is based on world imperial. He made many pants and jackets. The pants had too much volume on the hips and very tight at the bottom. The jackets had a lot of creation on the front.

He made some jackets and dresses with ribbons, and they sound very creative. He also made  a bodice with tail.

In this collection had simple dresses and very completed ones. Some dresses had the sleeves made by little ribbons. He made clothes with animal prints.

In the end of the runway the dresses get complicated they showing very clearly the theme of the collection.
